It’s officially underway in Ahanta Land.

The Climate Innovation & Entrepreneurship Training has successfully kicked off today at Agona Nkwanta, bringing together a vibrant group of innovators, young leaders, and changemakers committed to building practical solutions for our climate future.

From the very start, participants have been actively engaged, diving into the core purpose of the training. The session opened by setting a strong foundation, helping participants begin the important process of identifying real climate challenges affecting their communities and livelihoods. This step is critical, as meaningful and lasting solutions can only emerge from a deep understanding of the problems at hand.

The training began with insightful opening remarks from Alberta Brown-Orleans, who guided participants to reflect on why they are part of this journey. By inviting them to share their expectations, she created an atmosphere of openness, clarity, and purpose that set the tone for the entire program.

Facilitating the session is Benjamin Nii Kpani Addy, who welcomed participants with warmth and energy. His engaging approach helped everyone feel relaxed, included, and ready to fully participate in the learning experience ahead.

The event was also honored by the presence of Ing. Ebenezer Kofi Aidoo, the Municipal Chief Executive for the area. Representing the MP and the Chief of Agona Nkwanta, he expressed appreciation to Africa Climate Collaborative @ UG and Duapa Werkspace for bringing such a valuable opportunity to the community.

In his remarks, he encouraged participants to take the training seriously, emphasizing the importance of commitment in progressing to the next stage. He also shared encouraging plans to bring more impactful initiatives like this to the area in the future.

This marks an exciting beginning, one filled with learning, collaboration, and the promise of innovative climate solutions that can create real impact at the community level.

The journey has just begun, and the possibilities ahead are inspiring.
