On Wednesday, 23rd September 2026, the Skills & Employability Roadshow continued with an engaging second day focused on one important question: Are young people truly prepared to take on the world of work?
Read more: Day 2 of the Skills & Employability Roadshow: Building Confidence, One Interview at a Time. The day began with opening remarks from Alberta Brown-Orleans, setting the tone for a practical and interactive session centred on career readiness.

Rather than simply talking about interviews, participants got the opportunity to experience them. Through interview simulations, they practised answering questions, presenting themselves with confidence, and communicating their skills and experiences effectively.

A key highlight was learning how to use the STAR approach to structure interview responses. Participants also explored SWOT analysis, CV development, and the growing importance of being prepared for virtual interviews.
The session featured practical guidance from Miss Angela Banson, Human Capital Professional, HR Practitioner and Career Development Speaker, and Rev. Michael Yaw Obeng, Senior Assistant Registrar and University Chaplain. Their insights helped participants better understand what employers look for and how they can position themselves for career opportunities.

The roadshow is made possible through the support and partnership of organisations including GIZ and [Other Partner Name], whose commitment to skills development and employability continues to create opportunities for young people.
By the end of the day, participants had gained more than interview tips. They had taken another step toward becoming more confident, prepared, and career-ready.
Day 2 reminded us that confidence is not built overnight. It grows with preparation, practice, and the courage to keep showing up.
Building confidence, one interview at a time.
