The discussion took a closer look at cyber-enabled fraud in Ghana, including Business Email Compromise (BEC), mobile money fraud and advanced fee fraud. Participants explored how emerging technologies are being combined with criminal tactics and why individuals and businesses need to be more alert in protecting themselves online.
The session also gave participants a glimpse into Ghana’s digital landscape, looking at trends such as internet penetration and the rapid growth of digitalisation. With more people and businesses moving online, the conversation highlighted some of the risks that come with this transformation and the importance of building strong digital safety habits.

But the session was not only about identifying threats. It was also about looking at opportunities.
Participants were introduced to a roadmap for building a career in cybersecurity, helping them understand the skills, knowledge and possible career pathways available in this growing field.
From understanding the threats to exploring career opportunities, Day 3 gave participants a practical look at how they can better prepare themselves for a digital future.
The Skills & Employability Roadshow is made possible through the support and collaboration of GIZ, African Center for Digital Transformation and Digital Transformation, creating opportunities for young people to gain relevant knowledge, practical skills and exposure to the changing world of work.
As the roadshow continues, one thing remains clear: the future of work is digital, and being prepared means understanding both the opportunities and the risks.
