On 21st and 22nd July 2026, Duapa Werkspace joined innovation hubs, entrepreneurs, policymakers, investors, and ecosystem leaders from across Ghana at the Ghana Hubs Summit 2026 in Kumasi, organised by the Ghana Hubs Network under the theme “Inclusive Innovation for Employability: Hubs and Ghana’s Future of Work.”

Our CEO, Erasmus Mensah Ackon, and Programs Lead, Alberta Brown-Orleans, made the trip to Kumasi to represent Duapa Werkspace. But Alberta didn’t just attend, she held the microphone on Day One, helping facilitate the energy and flow of conversations in the room. It was a proud moment for our team.
What the Summit Was About
The two-day gathering brought together voices from 15 of Ghana’s 16 regions, a clear sign of how nationally significant this conversation has become. The summit explored a question that sits at the heart of everything we do at Duapa Werkspace: how can innovation hubs create stronger, more inclusive pathways to employment and entrepreneurship for young Ghanaians?
Discussions ranged from green jobs and sustainable enterprises to practical strategies for connecting young people with skills, mentorship, technology, and markets. It was two days of honest, forward-looking conversations that the ecosystem needed.
Why It Matters to Us
At Duapa Werkspace, we often talk about the work we’re doing in Takoradi — the training programmes, the bootcamps, the youth we’re equipping with skills every day. But being in that room in Kumasi reminded us of something important: what we’re doing locally is part of a much bigger national movement.
Across Ghana, hubs are working hard to ensure that the next generation doesn’t just survive the future of work — they shape it. And together, we are stronger.
Looking Ahead
Day Two of the summit was dedicated to the Ghana Hubs Network Annual General Meeting, where member hubs reflected on progress and elected a new Board to lead the network’s next phase of growth.
Congratulations to the newly elected Ghana Hubs Network Board. The ecosystem is in good hands, and we look forward to continued collaboration.
Duapa Werkspace is an innovation hub based in Takoradi, empowering women and youth for sustainable livelihoods through training, mentorship, and community.
