GrowthAfrica is excited to announce the 17 Entrepreneur Support Organisations (ESOs) selected for the ESO Uplift Programme. It’s one of the components of the Scale Up Social and Impact Entrepreneurship Project, co-funded by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), led by Draper Richards Kaplan Foundation (DRK) and implemented by GrowthAfrica in collaboration with the The Amahoro Coalition.

The initiative provides hands-on venture support to 35 Social Impact Enterprises (SIEs) and builds the capacity of 15 – 20 ESOs each year, over the next 4 years.

The programme provides capacity-building for ESOs targeting social impact entrepreneurs throughout their growth journey from inception and ideation to investment readiness and accelerated scaling.

Operating across Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, Zambia, Ghana, and Egypt, the ESO Uplift Programme aims to increase the number of social impact enterprises and widen their impact by strengthening local ESOs’ capabilities, structures, and offerings. The programme will particularly enhance ESOs’ ability to help social impact enterprises access capital and other critical resources.

Through this initiative, participating ESOs will improve their support delivery to social impact enterprises while strengthening their internal sustainability, operational effectiveness, and ecosystem engagement.
