The final day gave participants an opportunity to step back and explore what AI really means and how it is already changing the way we live, work and build careers.

The session started with the background and fundamentals of AI, helping participants understand what artificial intelligence is and the different types of AI that exist. From there, the conversation moved into how these technologies are being used across different areas of work and why young professionals need to understand them.

Participants were also introduced to prompt engineering, emerging technologies and practical ways they can begin developing the skills needed to work alongside AI.

But the conversation was not only about what AI can do.

A key part of the discussion focused on what AI cannot replace. As technology continues to advance, qualities such as human creativity, critical thinking, empathy, leadership, communication and decision-making remain important.

The session encouraged participants to see AI not simply as something that may change their jobs, but also as a tool they can learn to use to improve their skills, productivity and career opportunities.

From exploring employability skills to cybersecurity, digital transformation and finally artificial intelligence, the roadshow has been a journey of discovery and preparation for the future.

As the final session came to an end, participants left with new knowledge, new perspectives and an important question to think about:

The future is changing. Are we ready for it?

A big thank you to our partners, facilitators and every participant who contributed to making the Skills & Employability Roadshow a meaningful experience.
