Yesterday marked an inspiring day at Ampain Refugee Camp, where participants came together for a powerful Climate Innovation & Entrepreneurship Training. The energy in the room was palpable as teams dived into real-world challenges affecting their communities, from environmental concerns to livelihood impacts.

Participants were grouped into teams and guided through a hands-on process to identify pressing climate challenges and collaboratively develop practical, solution-driven ideas. Each team presented the issues they uncovered and shared actionable solutions, parking meaningful discussions and fresh perspectives. It was remarkable to witness innovative ideas take shape in such a short span of time.

A key highlight of the training was the focus on sustainable business models. Participants explored what it takes to build ventures that not only generate profit but also deliver impact and protect the environment. The goal was clear: to nurture businesses that last while doing good for people and the planet.

The day began with insightful opening remarks from Mr Nii kpani Addy Benjamin, setting the tone for the session. His words helped participants understand the purpose of the training, shaped their expectations, and encouraged active engagement throughout the program.

Facilitated by Benjamin Nii Kpani, the training was both practical and engaging. Participants worked with the Business Model Canvas (BMC), refining and structuring their climate-focused ideas. The teams presented strong, viable solutions to real environmental challenges, demonstrating creativity, collaboration, and strategic thinking.

The session also covered key stages of business growth from incubation to acceleration and scaling highlighting the importance of building sustainable ventures that can thrive in the long term.

In just one day, participants experienced a journey of learning, ideation, and empowerment. While the training has concluded, it marks the beginning of even greater things ahead as these aspiring innovators take their ideas forward to create lasting environmental and social impact.
